Discovery Dial is a static website. It does not create accounts, and it does not install analytics or advertising trackers in this version.
WHAT STAYS ON YOUR DEVICE
The receiver may keep a small amount of information in your browser’s local storage so a return visit can remember:
- discoveries you have captured
- recent listening history used to vary what appears
- your current tuning position and listening session
- whether the receiver was last powered on
This information stays in your browser. Clearing site data removes it. Discovery Dial does not sync it to a server.
WHAT IS TRANSMITTED
Your browser loads the site files from the host. Some discoveries use official live or remote media (for example a public earthquake feed, or images hosted by the originating institution). Those requests go to those organizations’ servers under their own terms.
COOKIES
This version does not use cookies for tracking. Local storage is used only for the receiver functions described above.
