Discovery Dial is a world discovery receiver. Most of what you hear is drawn from public archives, scientific agencies, libraries, and other documented sources. Individual credits remain inside Explore for each discovery.
AUTHENTICITY
Factual listening is labeled by how the sound exists in the world:
- Primary source — original documented recording or transmission
- Authentic recording — a real recording of the subject
- Contextual — related authentic sound used for setting
- Sonification — data rendered as sound
- Historical recreation — a carefully disclosed reconstruction of a documented event
The only factual historical recreations in this version are the RMS Titanic wireless scene and the Gettysburg Address. They are disclosed as recreations.
FICTIONAL SIGNALS
The receiver also contains authored atmospheric signals. They are not evidence. They are not presented as documented recordings. If a signal is fictional, Explore says so. Nothing in this product should be treated as paranormal proof.
